Cleveland Vibes Founders and Friends 03/15/2026

To our valued subscribers,

I want to give a shout-out to the Cleveland Vibes team for having us at Founders & Friends again. Limelight Tremont really is an incredible venue. They have something really special there. Being able to attend these events and be part of community building is truly a blessing. It's no secret that being a founder presents a unique set of challenges that only other founders can understand. This is why building a community around each other creates that feeling of camaraderie and togetherness. Cleveland is a small big city that affords us the opportunity to create something really special together.

I also want to give a big shout-out to Cleveland's Willy Wonka, Jeff from Jeff's Candy, Nick Nunnari, and all the other friends we ran into at Founders & Friends this past weekend. I was driving home from the event thinking about how proud I am of both Jeff and Nick. Nick and I grew up about 60 seconds away from each other. We were just two dumb kids playing Xbox and eating Taco Bell until three in the morning. To see the wisdom and expertise Nick has been able to acquire over the years has been incredible. He has a passion for offering guidance and helping people, which I think is amazing.

I remember when Jeff first started his company—he and I were right next to each other vending at events around the city. Jeff made a lot of really good points during his speech. I agree with him that Cleveland is a city on the rise. He hit the nail on the head when he said the time is now to plant your roots and carve out your place in this city.

I moved back to Cleveland from Nevada because I knew in my heart that Cleveland is my real home. Shortly after coming home, I decided to invest most of my life’s savings into this company and into this city. Not out of desperation, but because I saw the opportunity. One of the things I say all the time is that there’s “so much opportunity.” For whatever reason, a lot of people are unable to see that. You see people all the time badmouthing Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. These people move to other parts of the country thinking they'll be happier or have a better chance of success. The crazy thing about moving is that you bring yourself with you. If you're one of those people who is incapable of seeing the opportunity here in Cleveland, then go ahead and move to Chicago or Denver with everyone else. We'll see you when you come back.
